People find us under different names. Some search landscape lighting near me because they know exactly which tree they want lit; others want a landscape lighting designer near me to draw the whole plan, an outdoor lighting contractor near me to quote a whole property, or an outdoor lighting company near me that will still answer the phone in year three. Same team, same free design walk at dusk.

Same week Design walks are usually booked within the week, at dusk — the only hour you can judge what needs lighting.
Free The walk and the written quote cost nothing, and there is no obligation to proceed afterward.
One person Phil owns the company and runs the design walk himself. You are not handed to a sales team.

Rather just talk to someone? Phil answers his own phone.

Book the Design Walk

It takes about a minute. Phil comes to the property, walks it with you from the street to the door, and follows up with a written quote covering everything.

Most people searching for lighting near them are trying to work out two things: whether a company actually covers their street, and whether they will be treated seriously. The service area below answers the first. The second is easier to judge in person, at dusk, standing on your own lawn.

Shortlisting landscape lighting companies near me turns on the second of those questions more than the first: whether the person who draws the plan is still the one servicing it in year five.

If your system is already installed and simply not working, that is a repair conversation rather than a design one — we service systems other companies installed, including ones whose installer has since closed.

Not required — a few words helps Phil prepare for your walk.

No obligation. No pitch. Phil responds personally.

Where We Work

Our Service Area

We work by county rather than by radius, because the homes, the approvals, and the light itself change as you cross from one to the next. Each town links to its own page.

People looking for Christmas light installation near me are usually still deciding between a seasonal hang and a permanent roofline, and the towns below are where both get done.

Not on the list but nearby? See the full service-area map, or just call and ask — if we cannot help we will usually know who can.

Before You Call

The Four Questions We Get Most

Do you serve my area?

Gemmell Outdoor Lighting works across Williamson County and the Davidson County estate corridor: Franklin, Brentwood, Belle Meade, Leipers Fork, Thompson Station, Fairview, Nolensville, Spring Hill, Green Hills, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, and Hendersonville. If you are within about 30 minutes of Franklin, the answer is almost certainly yes. Call (615) 914-4411 and ask.

How quickly can someone come out?

Design walks are usually booked within the same week. The walk happens at dusk, because that is the only hour you can see what actually needs lighting. Phil responds to every enquiry personally, typically within one business day.

What does the first visit cost?

Nothing. The design walk is free and carries no obligation. Phil walks the property with you, talks through what you want, and follows up with a written quote covering everything. If it does not make sense to proceed, you still come away knowing more about your property after dark.

Do you install lighting bought somewhere else?

Generally no for new installs, because we cannot warrant fixtures we did not specify and most kit hardware is aluminum rather than brass or copper. We do service and repair systems installed by other companies, including ones whose installer is no longer in business.

Are you a landscape lighting contractor or a design company?

Both, and that is the point of it. Phil designs the system on the design walk, the same crew installs it, and that crew is who comes back when a fixture needs re-aiming three years later. There is no separate contractor to coordinate and nobody to hand you off to.
